Hillphones is an information service which exists to provide hill-walkers with information on deer-stalking activity that takes place in upland areas of the Highlands.
The red deer stag stalking season takes place between 1st July and 20th October, with stalking activity increasing as the season progresses. Recorded telephone messages provide information about stag stalking activities in the areas covered, such as when it takes place and which routes are likely to be affected.
