July is Highland Games time in the local area, with the Glengarry, Morven, Mallaig, Glenfinnan, Arisaig & Lochaber Games all taking place. The games generally last for the whole day, and are a novel way of experiencing Scottish & Celtic culture & heritage.

See 'The Grouse Beaters' at Inchree, Friday 29th August

Pop along to our Four Seasons Pub from 8pm to hear this talented trio, where they'll be performing an informal acoustic session.

Islay's piping prodigy Fraser Shaw (of the 'The Maverick Angel's) joins forces with the unique accordion style of Loch Ness-side's John Somerville ('Box Club' and formerly of 'Croft Number Five'). The pair are accompanied by the jazzy piano and Scots singing talents of Grantown-on-Spey's Hamish Napier (formerly of 'Back of the Moon').

The three Highlanders have played many of the largest music festivals throughout the world. Original and traditional energetic jigs and reels intertwine with songs and melodies from across the globe, to create a night that is sure to get the feet tapping!

If you're looking to eat this night, table booking's recommended. Hope to see you there!

Landscapes by Cubby Images

Dave Cuthbertson (Cubby) is one of Scotland's foremost climbers, with many cutting-edge, first ascents to his credit. He was instrumental in providing Scottish climbing with something of a new face-lift in the 70's and 80's (and into the 90's)and has played a significant part in the development of modern rock and ice climbing in Glen Coe; a passion that continues to this day. Cubby makes a living as an International Mountain guide, which he combines with photography and occasionally providing safety and technical consultancy to the TV and film industry. His most recent assignment was something of a starring role in which Cubby acted as Joe Simpson's climbing double in 'Touching the Void.' and performed stunts for one of the most famous falls in climbing history. You can also view a selection of Cubby's landscape photography on the wall in our Four Seasons Pub, as well as from his website at www.cubbyimages.co.uk.
